Standard 6:  Equity and Cultural Responsiveness

The effective educational leader models, supports and cultivates a school culture characterized by equity and inclusiveness.

As a leader you you show you value individuals and create opportunities for students and staff to belong.   The leader invites clubs and organizations from inside and outside the school to provide opportunities, quotes, and art for the building.  A theme is generated that builds togetherness such as "All In" or "Together We're Better" and that theme is delivered through many activities, events, and daily conversations.

Evidence:  IP Project - PBIS Playbook

This handbook of processes is written as a playbook to form a culture around team and equity. This document is an example of data collection, and collaboration with teachers, administrators, students, and support staff to create a system to buy-in for a safe learning space that celebrates positive behaviors. The inclusiveness of this approach celebrates professionalism of all content areas, and career tech programs; it does not discriminate based on educational ability or  a student's background but builds on the theme of team and being part of the team and winning as a team.
